Planned Assignments (subject to change!)

At this point, I plan to have the students do the following:

• brief (1 page) responses to 6 outside readings

• analysis of how a sociological concept is reflected in the media

• 3 tests comprised of multliple choice and essay items

Daily Course Activities

A typical class period involves a lecture with small group and whole class discussion. I also use several videos throughout the semester and have students look up information on websites connected to the various topics. This class works best if students are willing to share their experiences!!
