What Books Are Required?

        The American Story, 3rd edition: Chapters 16-32  by Robert Divine and others. ISBN 0-321-42185-X. This is the textbook for the course.

        Andrew Carnegie and the Rise of Big Business by Harold C. Livesay. Either the 2nd edition  ISBN 0-321-04373-1 or the 3rd edition ISBN 0-321-43287-8. First additional reading.

        The New Deal 3rd edition by Paul K. Conkin, ISBN 0-88296-889-6. Second additional reading.

        Intervention  Revised Edition by Richard N. Haass, ISBN 0-87003-135-X. Third additional reading.

If you want to order books:. Books can be purchased at Lone Star College at an on campus bookstore (Follett) or ordered online at LSC book stores or from numerous other online sources like Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com. You can consult "My class schedule" in My Records https://myrecords.lonestar.edu to obtain the course 4-letter prefix, course number and section number of your course (EX: HIST*1302*3W002). Use this information to order books by telephone (281-351-3398)

If you want to have the books shipped to a Lone Star College Bookstore other than Tomball: The 4 books will probably not be at the bookstores of other Lon Star Colleges; however, if another Lone Star campus is closer to you, you can call the Lone Star College-Tomball  Bookstore and ask them to ship the books to that school.
