(offered both long semesters)

Course Description: This is a performance/production course.  Students will engage in all activities relevant to play production and each student will be involved in various capacities with the performance of the play.  These activities include:  acting, set design & construction, lighting & sound design, costume design & construction, publicity, marketing, assistant directing, stage managing, running crews, understudying, etc.  In other words, the students will be responsible for every aspect of play production.

Requirements:

  • Each student will fill out and submit a Project Declaration Form to the instructor

  • Each student will be expected to contribute a MINIMUM of three hours per week for this class

  • Completion of an Instructor's Evaluation Form by the appropriate instructor/director

  • As a Final Exam, each student will submit a typed, 1-2 page account of his/her involvement in each production
