• Classes taught include American, State & Local Government I and II, Introduction to Political Science, Honors American Government courses focusing on the U.S. Presidency and Interest Group Politics.

Lone Star College-Montgomery, 1999 to 2001:

• Provided leadership in planning, development, evaluation, and improvement of courses and instructional areas within the division
• Maintained and implemented long-range planning activities consistent with college and district strategic plans.
• Recommended to Academic VP and President candidates for faculty/staff appointments and retention.
• Developed class schedules of offerings consistent with program/student needs, approved courses, contact hours, and credit hours. Review an propose needed revisions to the district catalog and other appropriate documents.
• Supervised and evaluated faculty and staff; provide evaluation feedback to division members as well as to the Vice President/President.
• Participated in two-year National Strategic Leadership Consortium evaluating strategic planning and business model cross-over with higher education.

FACULTY ADVISORY ROLES

National Model United Nations Faculty Advisor, 2006-Present

• Served last two years as faculty advisor to train student delegates in participating as country delegates at the annual National Model United Nations (NMUN) held in New York. 2008 Student Delegation awarded ’08 NMUN “Distinguished Student Delegation”

Honors Faculty Advisor, 2001-Present

• Taught both honors sections of special topic U.S. Government courses (U.S. Presidency, Interest Group Politics) and a number of independent student honors contracts on topics ranging from the United Nations to U.S.-Israeli relations.

Phi Theta Kappa Advisor, 1995-1998

• Chartered Two-year Honor Society at Lone Star College-Montgomery, establishing a student honors society with over 150 student members. Involved organization and supervision over: Society membership, finances, orientations and inductions; service activities including student volunteer work for United Way, Texas Highway Department and miscellaneous school functions; student leadership development training, including taking students to regional and national seminars, various fundraising and social activities by students, and scholarship activities.
